I wonder if anybody can provide any information on the Fleet Motor Company of Alcester which supplied this 1952 Morris Minor MM convertible? I have done a little research and it seems they closed in 1965, but had two sites in the town, one of which remains a garage (Ross Motors) and the other is a beauty parlour (Mavericks). They were Morris suppliers and sold other cars, but any information, or period photos would be interesting to see.

Mrs and I were watching All Creatures Great and Small the other evening, I remarked that it was strange that when Mrs Hall the Housekeeper answers the phone at the Vet's house, she recites a 4 digit Darrowby number.
I can't imagine there being more than a handful of lines in a village high in the Yorkshire Dales in 1940, and I'm pretty sure she was reciting the same number in the earlier seasons commencing in the mid 1930s....
I guess the writers have seen too many old films set in large cities where they used 4 digit numbers. Whitehall 1212 probably being the most famous....
