Lights installed incorrectly by me!

Hi excuse my lack of understanding but I think I must have reconnected wiring to rear lights on my minor wrongly as now have no wipers, indicators, fuel gauge or working brake lights. None of the fuses have blown. So can mixing wires up on rear lights cause no power to fuse box?

Funny you should say this because I incorrectly installed a number plate light fitting and blew the fuse. The fuse is an inline fuse in a plastic holder near the RB106 regulator (engine bay, bulkhead). Hold both ends of the fuse holder, push and twist to open. Fuse is 10 amp. At least this is the arrangement in later cars. When I opened the inline fuse holder there was a blown 35 amp fuse inside. If you desperately need the car working you could use a 35 and change to a 10 at your earliest opportunity. Halfords still sell glass fuses.

Yes mixing the wires up on the rear lights will blow this fuse! I did it 2 days ago and just before a show as well......

Not forgetting the Panel Lights in the Speedo also, for those of you with the benefit of the extra fuse...
