The oldest Morris Minor in Canada

Just bought a new Minor!
I’ve been on a paper trail recently, this lead me last week to tracking down a 2 door Minor and last week I made an offer and bought what has been called ‘the earliest Morris Minor in Canada, if not North America’.
It’s got a documented history and verification from an 1968 letter from ‘The Morris Register’.
Before I was ‘allowed’ to make an offer I had what I can only call an ‘interview’ from the previous custodian of my intentions for the car.
Himself, an 84 year old, had amassed a dossier including partial cargo manifest listing Morris Minors imported into Canada, the ship ‘bill of laden’, the Lloyds insurance and the other cars transported at the same time plus a robust history of the car with photos of the previous owners.
Anyway I obviously passed the interview because yesterday after a 450 km round trip over mountain and valley (mostly in rain) I brought her home.
Photos to follow.
