Ethonal conversion.

I been looking the threads to see if there's a list of things I need to do to change my moggy to ethonal e10.
I done the obvious like changing the fuel pipe.
I'd like to know what else I need to change to accommodate e10. So is there a ' list ' of things to do.? Or could someone direct me to the threads if the topic to answer exists.

There are some things you could do. I've done them but whether they are necessary is a moot point.
1) The diaphragm in the SU fuel pump. These are now made to be ethanol resistant.
2) The float, and float valve needle. Some float valves have an all metal needle which is unaffected by ethanol but some have a rubber tipped needle which could be affected. The modern valve is Viton tipped. Likewise there are a variety of materials used for the float. As far as I know, nylon is fine but some other plastics may be at risk. The modern replacement is a "stay up" float.
You have replaced the fuel hose which was a good idea but maybe just replace the other parts as and when necessary as part of routine maintenance?

Hello Stephen
Thankyou for that.
I am about to change my fuel pump bits tomorrow.
Will look and order carb and order replacement float etc too.
I think that will cover it all, conversion done! I hope !

If you want to be super thorough there's a tiny O-ring on the end of the jet pipe where it meets the float bowl. This is rubber and can fail with ethanol. The modern part is Viton. I replaced that too!
If you want to do that O-ring look at this video first. It's very easy to mess this up but simple when you know how.

Don't forget the rubber hose from the filler cap to the petrol tank.

Yes of course. The ethanol resistant type is silicone.
