I need to replace this old loom from my 2 door 68 Police car

You'll get no contrary opinion from me on that... it looks well overdue replacement.
The wiring was only ever intended to last the expected/designed life of the car, which would have been around 10-20 years maximum.
Simple enough job, so long as you get the right standard wiring loom. If you're keeping the original Alternator with the separate Control Unit, make sure you don't accidentally buy a loom intended for an 'Alternator Conversion' car.

Just finished building and power testing my own loom. Ready now for new sheath, trimming to length and fitting. Now I know how it all works.

Wow that looks good, i'm still not even started to wire mine up yet only laid it in the car following the old path.
