Speedometer drive.

For anyone who has achieved this, I would really like to know their method without causing any damage to the plastic/Nylon.
I have a spare speedometer drive "bush" assembly and a n.o.s. spindle/gear.
In the "bush" (the piece which screws into the gearbox one end and the speedometer cable the other, ribbed gearbox))there is a tiny oil seal.
If it were necessary, at some time, how is that oil seal removed? It's hard up against a shoulder with no way of getting anything behind it to knock it out.
Just asking hypothetically.

Thanks for the suggestions but the seal is made from steel coated in rubber with a rubber lip which means it can't be "speared" successfully.
A tight fit so chewing gum or or even something attached using superglue would not move it.
The only method I can think of is to use a plug tap, of a suitable size, screwed into the seal from the cable drive (obviously with the pinnion and shaft removed) end by two or three threads which might be sufficient to pull the seal out.
The problem there is no going back, the seal is destroyed, and might still be stuck in place making the "bush" unuseable!
As I wrote, it's only a hypothetical question. But there might come a time when an existing seal is leaking g/box oil and needs replacing.

Drill a pilot hole in the seal metal body then screw a self tapping screw, the use this to pull out the seal with a slide hammer. Or try a seal removing tool.

The seal is tiny Bill. Outside diameter is 0".565 and shaft diameter 0".310. Fitted deep in a plastic/nylon? housing.That would require a tiny drill, screw, screwdriver and slide hammer! Even if there was a small enough seal removal tool, there's nothing to grab onto because it's hard up against the landing. In addition, the original outer is steel.
I cannot be held responsible for others' actions or results, but a 1/2" UNF plug tap did the job screwed into the seal centre by a couple of turns, from the cable end. A 7/16"UNF plug tap might work but could be too big in diameter. There's just enough taper at the end of the tap to not damage the bore in which the drive shaft spins. The new seals from ESM are a perfect size and with a smear of silicone lubricant fit easily.
