Jim's early convertible at Avro Heritage Centre, Woodford, Cheshire on DiD. I was in my 1966 2-door saloon.

I just went down to local shops in Withington (Manchester), but couldn’t resist this photo opportunity in Morris Street….

Re: Drive it day 2023
Glasgow Moggies teamed up with the Mini Clan and the Scottish Branch for a lovely run from Glasgow to Prestwick Beach. Some other interesting cars from Ayrshire Classics popped along too.
A video of the cars can be found at on YouTube https://youtu.be/A7uwmfwhjZw

Re: Drive it day 2023
Took a trip out to the coast at Berwick with our local car club....just in time for rain and wind. I never actually stopped to take any photos, was too busy driving
We did however pass over the very recently re-opened Union Chain Bridge - teworlds oldest vehicular suspension bridge -that crosses between England and Scotland. Been closed for the last couple of years for a £10m restoration (makes restoring a Morris look cheap !) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland- ... d-65274771

Re: Drive it day 2023
Of course but this is a specific charity event to raise funds for NSPCC by purchasing your display plate and get as many classic cars out driving on the day. That's why my post was titled drive it day 2023.

Sadly, I knew nothing about it until after the event when I saw your post, Bill!

Re: Drive it day 2023
National Drive It Day was created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs in 2005 and has run every year since other than during Covid, usually on a Sunday towards the end of April. We did our first one in 2011 which was the first after we got our Traveller.

Re: Drive it day 2023
Aaah, I hadn't realised that it had morphed into a fundraiser for a specific charity.
I thought it was an initiative by the FBHVC to make a show of driving your classic to raise the profile of the classic car movement as a whole.
I'm sure that's how it started out.
There was a link with St. George's Day; the Sunday nearest iirc.
Must have taken my eye off the ball.
