Morris Minor Owners Club

Hi just looking for some good advice as to what size tyres are best used on a moggy minor, was looking at putting on 155/80/14 ?

I have 145/80 R14 on my 1959 Traveller.

On original 4.5" wide wheels I would recommend the 145. 155 fit but aren't ideal and the Toyos available are crap.

Original standard Minor 1000 wheels are only 3.5" wide
The correct size radial ply tyre is a 145/80/14. This is what was originally fitted by the factory to cars specified with radial ply tyres which were an optional extra. 155 section tyres are a little wide although many owners use them - largely because they are more readily available and generally less expensive.
