I am restoring the car and would live to find previous owners or any detail about the car.

As well as asking here, contact the MMOC office in Derby and ask if they have details of previous keepers. If yes, then they could pass your details on. For information on the car, obtain a Heritage Certificate from the British Motor Museum at Gaydon.
If the registration number is original, then it was issued in Northamptonshire.
