Today at Mere, Knutsford Cheshire. Now on a quiet bypassed road, previously, before motorways, on the main road to North Wales and a hugely busy A556/A50 junction. I remember this being manned, if i also remember correctly, there was a wooden hut next door that was a membership advice/enrolment centre.

Those were the days.
Oh, for old England........
Best wishes,

PS: You should submit this to the magazine, for their ongoing feature on old AA boxes.

It's sad really, yesterday you were on top of the world with your car back on the road, now it's parked bonnet up at an AA box

Great picture Panky. This is my 'local' AA box. Oddly enough, in all the times I have passed with a Morris, usually on the way to or from Moffat rally, I've never stopped for a photo. Really should do that this year.
