I'm driving my Minor every day and am finding the seat is getting more uncomfortable as I get older, now 72, does anyone know if a modern car seat will fit my car.
Thanks everyone.

Off the top of my head on this common subject:
- Newton Commerical do "Suffolk" seats that are adjustable and comfortable.
- MGF/TF seats fit well and can suit the car okay.
- Ford Ka seats fit but I don't think they look nice myself.
- Procar-90 are great but need to be shipped from the USA.
- Late Rover Mini seats might be an improvement.
- I'll shortly selling some luxurious late MG Midget leather seats in light blue that look great.

- Something like Nissan Micra K10 or K11 seats would fit.
Most require frames of some sort.

I've got modern Rover 75 seats in mine. They used to be plentiful and cheap (these cost £25 a few years ago) and they're available in red, black, blue, green, cream etc.
They're fixed in place though so don't slide.

75 seats are lovely, nice one. On the big side if you're ever having people in the back perhaps.

They work very well in the Minor don't they. I'm not a fan myself of the (expensive!) Newton Commercial "Suffolk" seats which provide very poor lower back support. I can understand that many owners like to have a head restraint nowadays but I find the standard Minor 1000 seat perfectly comfortable IF the webbing and foams are in good condition and you are sitting where you should be! Rebuilding the original seats properly makes a HUGE difference to them. Those Rover 75 seats look very inviting too don't they

A BLATENT PLUG
We make seat adaptors to fit BMW Mini seats into almost any Minor / 1000
Seats from 2001 - 2022 BMW minis are easily available from that popular online auction site we all love to hate,, there’s normally 1000s of listings if you search "mini seats"
You will find cloth, half leather, full leather and even some retro styles available,
Pm me if I can help,
Steve

I fitted a pair of MG Midget seats that were recovered to match the rear leather. The advantage of these seats is that they have headrests, the backs tilt and they slide to adjust. They are also similar to the originals in style and do not look too modern. The seat bases came from JLH Morris Minors. I can also strongly recommend Yvonne Dutton at Classic Car Seats who was very helpful and made a great job of matching the leather and making replacement covers at a very reasonable price.

Ford Streetka leather seats on JLH bases. These seats are also heated, although I've never wired them up.
