Are you fitting alloys? if so I'm pretty sure ESM sell them, they are about 5mm thick and move the wheel out just far enough to miss the suspension. You only need to fit them on the front. You may also consider fitting longer wheel studs.

As regards wheel spacers you should only use spacers up to 25.4mm. Over 25.4mm you are putting excess thrust on the wheel bearings and studs.
Only use a spacer of the thickness required for clearance.
The wheel spacer should be flat and a continuous ring.
The correct length and strength of stud should be used relative to the spacer. Do not use a spacer with standard length studs.
You may need a spacer on the rear hub dependent upon the centre hole of the wheel.
The spacers I use on my Minor are of the minimum thickness to clear the hub and half-shaft centre boss. As I run two different types of alloy wheel (Revolution and Minilite copies) I have to use the relative spacer (3/8" & 1/2") for the wheel being used.
Here is a link to a 3/8" spacer

Other spacers are available by using the above link
