Assistance wanted NE England

A lady has posted on the FB page seeking advice re. the disposal of her late uncle's Morris Minor.
I am new here, but in my Riley world we would normally mobilise a knowledgeable member close to the locus to offer to visit and appraise the vehicle.
Is that a thing in the MMOC?
If so, anyone Tyneside/Teesside up for it?
Apologies if I am treading on toes here.

And within about 30 minutes of her posting it, as soon as I saw her post, I advised her to contact the Club Office with the details of her Uncle as she has his membership card.
She seems reluctant to be too specific with her location, and given the way some people Troll around on facebook I'm not surprised.
Facebook is not the place to go into details in such circumstances, due to all the random S**t people comment.
There's already 3 comments basically just saying 'Pictures'... 21 Comments so far and only about 6 or 7 are of any use to her.
The office can put her in contact with the relevant MMOC Branch, if she wishes.

Yes, I noticed that too.
Some replies are bordeline rude.
I don't know how hands-on the MMOC office is with these things; in my "main" (Riley) club it is left to individuals to offer help; maybe the MMOC, hopefully bigger and better, does have a strategy. That is more or less what I was asking.
It is often necessary in these circumstances to take steps to avoid the get-rich-quick and whatsinitforme merchants, and FB does seem to be a favourite haunt of theirs (apologies to all the FB Good Eggs - I have had much help from the FB page).
Each car club has its own ethos, and us newbies have to feel our way around until we get the gist.
