Fitting a Ford type 9 gearbox into my 1953 Minor .
Going to fit the later clutch pedal to , move the pedals further apart and take up wear. The late pedal is mounted on the out side of the chassis and my question is ,is it worth lengthening the new pedal to get more travel on the mechanical clutch ?

Just alter the relay shaft as per the drawing below to get better mechanical advantage.
