Hood frame doesn’t fit

I’m converting a 1959 saloon to a tourer with an old kit.
But when I mounted the bracket for the hood frame the frame stick out why to long.
The instructions say that the center of bracket shall be 43.8cm from the window frame.
Can any one take there own measurement where it shall be located?
