What ho, chums!

From Sunday the 8th of May in the UK the supermarket Lidl will have on offer a digital auto-range multimeter for £9.99 and a battery charger with an “intelligent microprocessor control” for £13.99, (the latter covering both 6 and 12 volt batteries). I’ve owned these Lidl bits of kit for some years and although they’re cheap they’ve performed very well so I’m willing to recommend them. I leave the battery charger connected to my Traveller when its garaged and its kept the elderly battery in good shape despite its age and lack of use through these Covid years.

Regards to all, MikeN.

Digital multimeters are very useful and not expensive, but not so good measuring output voltage near a running magneto or dynamo the magnetic field created seems to send the display haywire, I find an analogue meter best for testing mag/dyno volts out.

Brown to brown green to green and blue to bits!
