Hi, like many folks with disc brakes and remote master cyclinder reservoirs I have had problems with the rubber/plastic feed pipe weapping and damaging paint etc.

I ordered the latest ESM kit, that they assure me will solve the problem, but discover that the pipe now supplied (looks like the see-through, reinforced petrol pipe) is now 15mm and is therefore unable to be routed internal such that it would pass under the clutch/brake shaft/mechanism.

The pipe will need to routed above the torsion bar. Has anyone, recently fitted this kit?

I fitted one about six years ago and used the reinforced plastic pipe it came with, although others have had problems mine has never leaked or 'sweated' fluid. I ran the pipe through the chassis leg, there was just enough room to turn the end of the pipe round and fit it to the master cylinder.

Here's a photo of my kit which is quite similar to my MG T-series kits. I have built about 75 MG kits already. It uses two 6mm copper pipes so you don't have to drill large holes in the chassis leg on the Morris. The reservoir can be placed wherever you choose as the pipe is long enough. Once installed then the pipes are cut and joined via a t-union. The third port on the union acts as a drain facility. It now comes with a stainles steel laser cut mounting bracket or an alternative Terry clip bracket.

It is good quality. Here you see photos of the 6mm pipe where it enter the chassis on the Morris. The stencil provided makes drilling quite easy. It is a bit of a fiddle to get the pipe in past the gearbox.

Here's a photo of the MG kit with the Girling style metal can and a stainless steel braided hose. I don't like to use the braided hose on the Morris kit as it means drilling a large hole in the chassis to allow the banjo to go through and the larger bending radius involved. That is the advantage of the soft copper pipe which I also do for the MG's. I can also do the metal can with the copper pipe if the JIC fitting is replaced with a longer one when using the stainless steel bracket. Not required for the Terry clip.

Lockheed label is easy and readily available and here is the matching cap to go with it. It is all for the immagination

I used copper pipe to get past the brake pedal and to the engine compartment, then rubber hose to the reservoir. I had to do this to squeeze in 3 pipes (dual circuit brakes and hydraulic clutch).

I hope you used the right rubber. That has been the problem with a lot of kits on the market and the sweaty rubber hose. It should be EPDM rubber!

Yes I used EPDM from a reputable supplier same as the oem's use no problems with it.

You can always fit the Lockheed sticker. The 3D printed cap also fits.
