I have a few questions about my 948 attached to a smooth remote gerbox in a trials car (i.e. not a Morris Minor)...
Which combination of master cylinder and slave cylinder should I look for?
I think I need a 3/4" bore m/cyl with a 7/8" slave (Mini) but I realise that there are probably a few alternative options.
On fitting the Mini slave to the clutch housing I realise that there is very little travel on the control rod between engaged and non-engaged. Meanwhile at the pedal end, there will not be much room for a long travel here either. Can anyone advise on the correct "gearing" I need?

The relevant travels of the two cylinders will be in the ratio of the diameters squared.
In your case, the slave will obviously move less than the master.
To lengthen that slave stroke, you have options. Increase the master cylinder diameter, reduce that of the slave, or a combination of both. First, you need to know how far the slave stroke needs to be and then work from there.
Being non-standard, I would guess it is back in your court to work things out.

I’d just use A40 parts.

Thanks all. I am now wiser than I was 24 hours ago. I shall try these things and see. I was just hoping not too spend to much on immediately redundant cylinders and get it right first time. The "A40 solution" looks like a starting point. Cheers, T
