HS2 Carburettor jets,

1962 Saloon, 1098cc engine. I recently changed the carburettor so that I could refurbish the original (AUD13 tag). What I didn't spot was the temporarily fitted carb. has a jet with green coloured ring. the correct jet is white. The needle is correct, AN. Red dashpot spring. The mixture control and throttle control are correct for a single carb.. It's an old fleabay purchase! Only checked that everything functions but didn't spot the jet.
Doing a bit of searching I found that the green jet is for a l.h. twin carb. set up. Does anyone know the difference in this colour coding? I have found lots of information about needles, not jets though. The engine starts and runs fine but I would prefer to have the correct jet which will be used in the refurbished carb. for refitting to the engine, when completed.
Not been on here for a long time and used other usernames previously which have long ago lapsed!

So long as the jet is stamped 0.090 you will be ok.

I am pretty sure that the difference between green and white is because the way that the choke linkage is attached to the jet which results in a R/H & L/H jet.

Thanks Phil, I'm sure you are correct. There's no markings, as to size, on the jets. The new "white" jet packet does, of course, indicate L.H. and 0".090. The "green" jet is L.H. for a twin set up and is "cranked" correctly for the mixture control link screw fixing.
It makes sense for it to be 0".090 too but specifically for L.H. and fitting the Minor's HS2 which is essentially a L.H. carburettor (or front for an inline engine).
The only question, in my mind, is why have a "white" L.H. jet AND a "green" L.H. jet of the same size to fit the same handed HS2?
