A while back someone posted a link which would give you where and when your car was registered (think is was through one of those nasty licence plates sales companies websites)

Just curious about Rosies history!

I'm trying to fing out how old my Morris is, I've just brought it.
It was Regisited as a 1951 model, but I've been told its a 1948 LoLight.
I need to find out what model it is ASAP.
This is what I can tell you about it, Chassis #48006, Engine #46961, Type, SSM, Stock # 527(1)or(7) on the end, hard to read the plate.

According to that website, none of my regostrations were ever issued - fortunately, the DVLA disagree

It's a series MM lowlight, the first Minor model. The Minor started production in the second half of 1948. Your chassis number (48006) signifies that it was the 47,506th Minor built so I think it was built early/mid 1950. Onne's car (57192) dates from mid July so I would guess sometime in April or May (Being at work I don't have my copy of Original Morris Minor to hand ).
