There was a car boot style sale in our local town of La Haye du Puits in Normandy yesterday and I found this....

It is a 1/24 scale left hand drive 1958 Traveller by the Hachette Company of France. I have never seen one before.

Looks like a very nicely detailed model.
A good find. I used to have loads of 1/43rd scale cars, vans, trucks etc. stretching from the 1930's through to the 1970's period, over 2000 models in the end and most of their boxes too. A nice collection / hobby, it took up allot of space mind.
I sold them in the end, to cover all my fees / legal fees when I bought my current home, so they served a good purpose when I tired of having to dust them.....
I kept my 1/18th scale models though, as I only have 12 of them, one of which is a white Traveller.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Now all you need king Kenny is the magazine to go with it!
Hachette is one of those publishers who have ranges of magazines and models.
And look what I have found for you:

Hachette produce excellent models. My Commer Jennings Road Ranger was included in their Camping Cars collection model/magazine series
Pascal came over from France to scan Bonnie the Jennings and take detailed pictures
The end result which was a true replica of my camper down to the chrome plugs I put in the jacking points, fridge vent and the 60 sticker on the back end

For a 1/43rd scale model it is superb.

To have a model based on your camper is so cool. I have seen plenty of models by this company here in France but I had no idea that they had one of a Traveller. It was only 20 euros.

Great Commer camper Panky, so much more stylish than those 'common as muck' VW's.
Best wishes,
Mike.

I love the Commer Panky, I bet there aren't many around anymore.
Love the scaled model too
