My current very old exhaust needs replacing (rusted and a hole in the box). the engine is 1098cc. Is there an advantage in upgrading to a large bore system and is it easy to fit ?
Why are some standard systems being sold as a single box version or two box version(extra cost). The current system is a single box(under the passenger seat).
Ideas/advice welcomed.

If you have a standard engine there is no real advantage in fitting a large bore system.
If you need to replace the system I would recommend that you fit a stainless steel system The only down side is that you may loose your 'parp' on overrun.

I'm not aware of any standard systems comprising 2 boxes - there have been both one and two piece standard bore, single box systems available over the years, though. Twin box systems tend to be the large bore ones.

Phil mentions the 'parp' - if you fit a system with two boxes you'll definitely lose that ;-)
