Morris Minor Owners Club

Before I fit a Mini alloy inlet manifold to my A+, I need to remove the vacuum pipe take off as I have learnt that is advisable to use the carburettor take off only. I do have some small gallery plugs to hand with correct tap, but what about sealing this into alloy?
Any suggestions please?

Loctite 243 (amended number) will lock and seal the plug. There should be no problem putting a iron/steel plug into the alloy manifold. BMC did it all the time.
