Hi I have a 1967 Morris minor I would like some advice on adjusting the SU carb
There is black Smoke coming out of the exhaust my workshop manual says to weaken the mixture turn the adjusting screw in a clockwise direction
I hope this isn’t a stupid question but

Does that mean turn it in a clockwise direction looking down from the top, or from the bottom
Hope this makes sense

Clockwise looking up from bottom. Before adjusting, check that choke is fully off and that the air cleaner is not partially blocked.
