5-leaf rear springs on a Traveller

Has anyone tried fitting 5-leaf rear springs on a Traveller? I was wondering if this would improve the ride compared to the usual stiffness, particularly if the car is rarely loaded up heavily...

That something I was wondering about too.
I understand 7 leaf springs were to help take additional weight a Traveller might carry. Most people nowadays are unlikely to fully load the car like they were when new and the rear of the Traveller seems to be lighter construction than a saloon so does it need heavier duty springs?
It would be a modification to declare to insurance company anyway.

Thanks for the reply.

This was the way I was thinking. Nowadays, I rarely load mine right up, which leaves the rear end ride somewhat choppy and bouncy over the local roads; the original springs I think are pretty tired now, as the ride height is definitely somewhat lower than when they were new.
I just happen to have a spare pair of 5-leaf springs...
