Blooming rubber!

Hi all,
Does anyone know of something that will renovate rubber window seals?
I am currently testing various substances from T cut to peanut butter that have been recommended, also autoglym products.
The white bloom on the rubber seems very persistent. I am hoping to find something that restores the rubber to solid black again.
Happy Easter!

P.S. Just tried gentle rubbing with white spirit, looks like it works!

How about the stuff for tyres.
Tyre Black/Shine etc, there must be hundreds of such products.
I'd certainly try that before T Cut.

I used Auto Glym tyre spray for donkeys years, but damn it is properly expensive to use. I went on to Demon Shine which works beautifully and is much more economical, but it is a bit too shiny. It would definitely do the job on windscreen surround, but I do have one reservation - it may or may not be sheer coincidence, but I noted that a set of four Toyos began to show tiny cracks after three seasons on show fields, while the Pirellis I bought for our modern at the same time were perfect. The only difference I can think of other than the manufacturer was that during show season, every Sunday the Toyos were liberally coated in some chemical to make them look new...

Wax polish can brighten up tired old window rubbers, assuming they are not cracked/perished.

Hi Boomlander,
I use a liquid called Gummy Pflege. It comes with a sponge applicator so can be applied direct from the bottle.
I got it from Amazon. Works really well.

I questioned my cracking tyres (not Morris) at our local very good tyre fitters, he advised that the cracks I showed him were ok but the use of tyre treatments is generally bad news for tyres!
