It certainly isn't original. There were very limited colours. The closest to red being Maroon.

Very nice though and they have done the pin-stripe around the wheels, which is an art in itself.
Where does it originate? ManyMinors is correct in that it isn't an original UK colour option but I think Australia and New Zealand (South Africa too?) had their own, though I'm open to correction on that.

Many minors and Jagnut are correct. UK lowlights came in a very limited number of colours - black, maroon, green (usually romain green but later mist green) and varying shades of grey - (platinum or gascoyne). I think some of the late lowlights were also in Thames blue ?
I'd imagine that countries like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and others would have their own colour schemes. The very early cars were exported complete from Cowley, but after that, they would be shipped out as CKD and assembled and painted out there.
I must admit, they do like nice in the bright colour schemes though.
