It looks like a 803cc to me.
Mainly based on the oil filter attachment point.
It also has an early two-part intake/exhaust manifold.

This is as I thought, thank you Don.
Are these worth getting hold of? I was looking for 1275 ideally. But I know the 803's are becoming harder to find

Happy new year to all.
The engine is a 803cc gold seal factory reconditioned engine born out by the gold paint on the block, the engine number and as already mentioned the way the oil filter is attached.
It should be pointed out that there is a considerable difference in performance between a 803cc and a 1275cc.
Is it worth getting hold of - depends upon what you want. I personally would not want a 803cc engine unless it was needed to get the car back to standard.
What engine do you have currently fitted?
As the engine in question has already been reconditioned you may find that the engine is at the end of its life as regards further reconditioning i.e. re-boring & re-grinding the crankshaft.
May be worth a punt if the price is right.

And to you!
No my minor has a 1098 as standard.
I was considering purchasing to pass on to someone else, as I rarely seem to see any.
But at £100 collected it may be a bit steep for a 'punt'
