I purchased hinge repair kits for all four hinges, but somehow the internal tab on the lockwashers has got mangled (don't ask how, but the steel does seem very soft).

Without the internal tab to locate in the bolt groove, the external tab does nothing, so the nuts could come loose on the bolt. I thought it would be simple to find replacement lockwashers (Google tells me they are called "internal/external tab lockwashers"), but nowhere on the internet can I find them, and my local hardware store is stumped. ESM only sells the entire repair kit. Anyone know where I could find these things? I'd prefer the original look, but as an alternative I guess nyloc nuts would work if I can find them in the right thread.

Try Bullmotif as they are A35 parts suppliers and if I remember correctly from my A35 van days the hinges use the same lock washer.

No luck with Bull Motif, they only sell the whole repair kit.
It occurred to me I hadn't tried Moss Europe, part number is AAA1179, and amazingly, they have them.
