I’ve got a leaky jet tube on my carb, which I need to replace. I think the leak is from the float chamber end. However at the other end, I can’t recall any form of seal where the tube passes through the main jet, is that the case please?

The main jet and the feed pipe are produced as one.
You have to purchase the whole assembly.

The seal is at the float chamber end.

Thanks for reply and yes, , I appreciate It’s all one assembly Phil with a seal at the float end but is there also some sort of seal where the brass tube is pushed through the bottom jet, as I’m trying to establish if it could leak from there?

There is no seal as such between the brass jet and the jet holder/carb body in a HS2 carb.
See item/assy No: 15 in the attached link.

The level of fuel in the jet should be no higher than the level of the fuel in the float chamber and therefore should not overflow the brass jet and leak down between the brass jet and jet holder/carb body.

Thanks for the explanation and link Phil, it should confirm the leak is at the other end !

What if the fuel level was too high in the float chamber ?
That could maybe cause it to escape from the top of the jet when not running.
Probably unlikely but worth checking.

I’ll certainly check it while I’m doing the job.
