good evening,

i am doing a light restoration on a 66 traveller, i wondered if anyone could recomend a garage or mechanic that can help me with advice and carry out some work on the rear axel / diff.
i have a knocking sound coming from the driverside rear wheel area. I have taken the half shaft out and thats all in one piece.
if there is anyone around my area, Bingham ,notts id like to take it to them or they can come to my unit.

hope that makes sense!

many thanks,

william

William, I do hope you get a reply because I asked a similar question a couple of months ago and didn't receive any help regarding a garage or mechanic.

I know Geoberni lives your way and he tried to help me by giving the name of the Nottingham rep for the club but in the end didn't go down that route and found somewhere of my own where my car is now but is not a Morris expert.

as no one local to you seems to be able to help,Houghton Garage on the A47 south of Leicester is/was a Moggy specialist.perhaps too far but worth a call? 0116 2416132.

This was a garage I emailed but had no reply from them. Looking at the web site I don't think they are Minor specialists any more.

Re - Minorite. 71 Uppingham Road, Houghton on the Hill, Leicester.
The company appears to be still active but not at the above site.
Looking on Google Street view the site is still occupied by a garage and a Minor is parked outside.
The garage has a very good web site and may be able to help you.
