Hi,

Have found what looks like a Lockheed 7/8" m/c with casting number on its side of: 28909/2
0113

Can anyone verify if this casting number relates to a 7/8" m/c ?

It depends how old it is - the people doing replacement parts have been using the same casting for both m/c versions - then later on you only got the one type anyway.

if it's 15 years old or older then you stand a chance of geting what the casting says but if it's that old you are taking a risk to use it.

The 7/8 type of Master cylinder is for the pre 1098 type cars.
The later cars with 8" front brakes use a 13/16" Master Cylinder.

You can use the later master cylinder on earlier cars without a problem & with only a minimal change on pedal position/feel.

Not sure if it works the other way though... :)
