Length of 2Ba cheese Head Screws bowl to wing

Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone knew the correct length of the brass 2ba cheese head screws that fit the headlamp bowl to the wing.
I think on my 1958 Morris Minor Saloon they are 5/8” long. Esm show they are 1” fix126. Mine are brass. This is much better for under that area with all the water and moisture. I’m from a remote place in Australia called Upper Main Arm NSW where the Uk threads are very hard to source except online and in limited supply here and I want to be sure b4 ordering. Local bolt supplier gave me round head Phillips head 1/2” 10/32 screws. They have a similar thread per inch but slightly thicker. Cheers.

Sorry cannot help you, my wings are in storage so cannot measure them.
On a different note I have just had a look at Upper Main Arm NSW on Google maps, what a beautiful part of the world.
Certainly beats the north west England.

Unless I’m misunderstanding this, is the length critical? As long as the the thread exits the nut by 3 or so mm that would be fine.

I'm with Les, the general rule being, so long as they are long enough, but not so long they can foul anything behind.
There's nothing to foul that I can think of.
That one you referenced from ESM is a slotted Panhead at 1", yet looking at Charles Ware, they seem to use a 3/4" Cheese Head MS08
So horses for courses as the saying goes.

If Roboda wants the length of the screws, then that is what they want. Fitting the exact right parts is desirable. I shall check mine.

The point is that after so many decades, who really knows what the right length is?
They've already said
I think on my 1958 Morris Minor Saloon they are 5/8” long.
So that's 5/8, 3/4 and 1" options so far. Who's to say there wasn't some options in play at the time they were being built?
Weren't Aussie cars built up from kits for taxation reasons?
They might have used local screws during assembly, hence why Roboda says their car has brass screws...

With that in mind, in engineering terms a thread should protrude just over the length of the screw/ bolt diameter. If the factory worked with this in mind, the length can be worked out ! If they didn’t ——- they were wrong

I have checked one on my 1962 scrapper and it is approximately 3/4".

BCA4378 listed for Morris 1000s. Picture is of a slotted dome head set-screw. Haven't found a cross-ref listing for it.

This (BCA4378) is listed as WSE..I assume it means when stocks end.....use AJD3205z Z=zinc plated from memory...

My 64 Traveller has 5/8" long Brass Cheese HD slotted screws (plated) ..they look to be original and are the same head as the beam adjuster screws...however cant be 100% sure.

Hi Guys thanks for the discussion. I was determining what the originals were.
I worked out the 5/8" and they were 2BA.
They are not available to purchase here in Australia but I managed to get 4 from ESM and 4 Brass ones local Morris Minor Parts suppliers.
Due to the moist nature of their position I figured Brass was the solution for nay future replacements.
