Where to oil

Good morning all. As you know by now I’m a novice however I am learning a lot and enjoying myself. I have just changed the gasket and replaced the cover on the underside of the gear leaver, the round cover with 4 screws to it. With the prop shaft in the way. Awkward but managed it ok. However (this is the time I show my greenness) I don’t know where to put the oil in. Does it fill up as you fill the gear box up or is there something I am missing. Thank you for your time and help.

The gasket is not really an oil retention gasket more of a dirt exclusion gasket.
Very little if any oil will get to that part of the gearbox.
So you do not have to fill the gearbox lever remote housing with any oil.
Just check the level of the oil in the gearbox by removing the rubber plug in the floor which give access to the gearbox filler/level plug. Remove the plug and the oil level should be just to the bottom of the the filler plug threads. Use engine oil to top up the gearbox if any is required.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I didn’t want to make a mistake. Now I can get her off the stands and she’s ready to go. Regards Paul.
