Useful tip when grinding yer nuts off!

Post by chickenjohn »

that is the ones that hold the front panel on.... (only one undid, three sheared and the rest rounded despire copious amounts of freeing/penetrating fluid)

wear a full face visor (as well as thick leather gloves, ear protection, a dust mask and a hat) and do up the top button on your fire retardant overalls, otherwise a recently severed red hot nut may find its way onto your left shoulder blade causing a couple of 2" long 2nd degree burns..... {the ones with waxy white appearance}

OUCH!

(actually it didn`t hurt much at all,- I guess the nerve endings were fried what was most disturbing was the smell of burning flesh and singed hair).
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

even more disgusting- my late grandfather was an RAF mechanic in WW2. They had a few aircraft crashes on the airfield. And he said that burned to death pilot smelt just like... roast pork!!!

What is it about members grandads and Burning flesh?

Both mine have made comments about smell of burning flesh but as one was in the RAF and the other in the German Infantry (very long story) I probably don't want to ask too many questions.

Yes, and my Grandad also confessed to feeling hungry after smelling "roast Pilot"...........

I think its their generation.

He was a mechanic by trade, probably where I got my urge to tinker with old cars from ;)
