Which are the better rear wheel bearings , with rubber seals ? Or as standard ,open bearings ,both seem to be available .
Can anybody give me the original bearing code ?

These are the numbers stamped on the inner and outer race of an original BMC Minor rear hub bearing.

Inner race.................... 40-N97 35L

Outer race................... 40-M97 LO35.
