Hi all,
I keep getting a lot of interference on my radio on MW channels which seems to get worse as I accelerate and dissappears when the engine is not running.
I have a suppresor to fit to the coil and assume it connects to earth via the body and the +side of the coil - Can anyone confirm this?
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers, Jeff

RE: aerial
It depends whether you have pos or neg earth. The supressor needs to go between the side of the coil not connected to the points, and ground (the body). The points side has the condensor already, which is the same thing as your supressor. That of course assumes your supressor is a capacitor (round can with metal bracket, and 1 wire.I have a suppresor to fit to the coil and assume it connects to earth via the body and the +side of the coil - Can anyone confirm this?
As well as the dynamo, check your plug leads. Are they suppressed leads? Supressed leads have a carbon conductor instead of copper. Sometimes you can have supressed pug caps instead of leads.
