HOLDEN Dynalite Alternator

Hi, I wonder whether any member has had experience with the Dynalite Alternator offered by HOLDEN Vintage&classic, to substitute the Generator. My Regulator on my 1953 convertible is playing up and fiddling with it I came accross the HOLDEN offer which sounds it might solve the problem once and forever.....
Any feedback, experience, information as to what to consider (I would like to keep pos. earth) is welcome.

I'm sure people would like to know, as it sounded an interesting project.
As to your question this time, to buy a Dynalite Alternator I think you have to be very passionate (or obsessive) about keeping the original 'look' without genuinely keeping it original.
You say you want to keep +ve Earth, but is that important?
Dynalite's are around 7 or 8 times the cost of a normal Alternator conversion kit.

Choices, if you wish to retain +ive earth:
Get another control box - although these are not as well made or reliable as the originals (cheapest)
Get your original control box refurbished by a specialist firm (expensive)
Get a dynamator (expensive, although there are much cheaper versions than the dynalite model - at those prices they should go on for ever!)
Or - as 'geobernie' hints, get an alternator convertion kit and go -ve earth (not cheap, but cheaper than a dynamator)
