Pat on the back - Accuspark

I mentioned in another thread that my Accuspark timing strobe had stopped working. When I checked my records it was just over a year since I ordered it, but I nevertheless politely asked by email if anything could be done, without expecting a positive result. They emailed me back immediately apologising for the problem and telling me that a new one would be sent as soon as they are back in stock. Impressed!

Do you adjust the ignition after first setting with the timing light?

If you see my Tuning Woes thread you'll see I'm not an expert! As I can't do static timing with my electonic dizzy I have used the strobe to check that I'm in the right ballpark, and that advance is working. Normal "until it pinks" road testing will tell you more than a strobe, and my intention once it's running well enough to go out on the road is to take it for a rolling road session.

Yes exactly, after arriving at the 'book setting' you can then advance it gradually by listening to the engine to get the best performance.
