Hi, can someone tell me what the U shaped piece on the lower door repair panel is for please. It is adjacent to the lowest door hinge bolt hole. I havent seen it in any pictures or manuals.
Is it neccessary or can i remove it. Ive tried putting photo on but system wont let me.
As always any advice gratefully received

What size are your photos?
We do have random, spurious, image attachment issues sometimes.
I've just uploaded these, one is <600Kb, the other is almost 5Mb. They both upload and show in preview, so I'm just going the Submit and see if they appear....

I've now come back and removed the photos as there was no requirement for them to stay. Both loaded without any problem.

You can see the 'U' shaped bracket attached to the lower outer face of the panel in the link below.

The bracket is there to keep the lower rear end of the front wing in its correct position. I would advise against its removal.

You have to remember that the bolts securing the front wing are some distance away and on a different plane from the lower rear edge of the wing. The lower rear section of the wing could float/move if the bracket was not there to support it.
