How many components make up a Morris Minor?
On a TV programme last night, the luxury car being built had 4,000 components. I think I read once that Minors are made up of 1,600 components. Is that correct?
It seems a lot.

I guess it all depends on what classifies as a component. If you break the engine, gearbox, suspension etc down into smaller components, the numbers soon add up. Throw in switches, badges, rubber grommets, handles, bulbs and such like, I don't think it would take too long to get to 1600. I suspect a Morris will have significantly less components than the fancy modern stuff though !

My friend used to have a 750 Kawasaki motorbike in the 80s, and he always boasted that his engine had less moving parts than my Minor because it was an OHC engine.
I wonder how long it took to put together a Completely Knocked Down Minor?

That is surprising.
