Has anyone bought a radiator recently?
Is there any advantage to having an aluminium one, or a double cored one?
There are copper and brass ones on ebay for a reasonable price, and there is a different model (8mm metric fixing bolts) for sale by ESM for a similar price.
Can anyone recommend one please?
Thanks, John.

If I needed to buy a Minor radiator this is the one I would buy:-

No need to buy an aluminium or double core radiator. The standard radiator is more than adequate as the Minor is over cooled anyway.

Ditto.😉

If you have a racing Morris then maybe.

Lots of alloy rads for about the same price, which is interesting when you consider how much more radiator you get from the Chinese alloy ones. About 1cm. Too bloody wide to fit in the car without cutting and welding the front panel.

PS Only bought it so I could easily weld on some added extra pipework

As an aside and regarding alloy radiators -

This is my Minor which has a Vauxhall Astra alloy radiator with the plastic ends and it is situated under the boot floor - that is if it had a boot floor.
