Bonnet Release

Due to the lockdown I have been doing a lot of work on my Morris Minor. Opening and Closing the Bonnet! I think one of my release rods has come adrift as when I pull the bonnet opener the bonnet does not pop up. Reading the posts I realise it is not something people like talking about in open forum due to security. Can someone please PM me with a description of the easiest way to open the bonnet when the pull is not working? Thanks Ian. P.S. A picture attached of my car in the Men's Shed, Dunoon, Argyll.
