I need to change my headlining on my project 58 car,I've managed to save the front board, released the 2 clips through the sun visor holes which are handy to push a small T bar allen key enough to get the board out.The boards are over £50 so a good saving

Even if you wreck the board ( I did ), a piece of thin ply and a jigsaw takes care of replacement, I replaced the wires with stainless and ferrules , hope you've made a note of where they attach and have pulled a draw string through ?

also make sure you note the positions of the metal hoops because they are all slightly different lengths :o Don't ask how I know this :D :D

when you get the headlining, just to note ,its Not cut to fit the original length, they are longer so need fettling so the best way to refit is to note the position of the original on the wood former and re staple in that position so that the rear falls in line. When I did mine I threw the old lot out,so had a nightmare refitting. If you get any wrinkles in it a gentle warm with hairdryer helps shrink them out, Good luck I think second to a split screen, windscreen replacement It got to be one of the most challenging jobs I have ever done on a mogggie
