I got 1966 traveller in old English white.
What colour trim was fitted at the time or was choice by the customers

As standard, all Old English White Minors at that time had red interiors. There might have been the odd car supplied differently but there was no official option.

Black interiors were not offered on the Minor 1000 until 1968. Possibly your car has been retrimmed or had a later interior fitted?
Many cars have seen changes over the years.
A Heritage Certificate from the Gaydon Motor Museum will give you all the original build details if you're interested in them.

I will contact them. Could the black interior have been a special order at the original buyers request?

Quite possibly, particularly if the customer was military/police/RAF/fire brigade/post office, etc.

Anything is possible - in theory - but BMC would generally only supply special order vehicles in quantity such as to the forces etc as mentioned above. Morris Minors were cheap mass produced cars for conservative buyers - not individually customised. Generally a different interior colour could only have been selected from those available at the time. Black was not yet available in 1966. A Heritage certificate should tell all
