I would say it depends on the covering - are they leather or vinyl?

The old adage, a little and often pays dividends.

If vinyl seats are really grubby, panel wipe would get most things off. It is also called spirit wipe (Not white spirit) and pre paint wipe. It's not as aggressive as paint thinners!! I know there was a product called Valay, that was good on plastic interior trim and I think Decosol may have taken over that product. Autoglym do some good products, such as https://www.autoglym.com/interior/interior-shampoo & https://www.autoglym.com/interior/vinyl-rubber-care .

Oddly enough I was doing the leather seats in my MG Midget yesterday and I treat them with Connolly Hide Food. The car hadn't done many miles since the last time and the leather was clean. If it's dirty leather, I'd suggest asking these people - http://connollybros.co.uk/index.html .

Bear in mind that a clean, well polished surface doesn't hold grime like a surface that's gone a bit flat.

Well, if the seats are leather, try this: https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/product/ ... er-cleaner
Or if they are vinyl: https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/category ... renovation
Woolies also do products to re-colour leather if it has faded and, I think, spray cans to re-colour vinyl....

Woolies stuff is superb. I was very nervous about renovating my Series II (Series II in style) leather seats but the instructions and the products were very good and I was pleased with the result. Rear seat half done and front seat before and after

I told you you couldn't go wrong with it! It really does make a huge difference to faded/worn leather.
