Hi,

The muffler part of my exhaust fell off while driving last week. It had corroded. Its from my 62 traveller (1275cc Marina engine) I took it into a MM mechanic who replaced it with a temporary one as he didn't have the 1 1/2" bore in stock.
He has said that I could buy it myself and have them fit it. However, I have the details he wrote down but am not 100% sure on what Im getting as im no expert mechanically, and I don't want to ask him again. He wrote "1 1/2" bore from 3 branch manifold back" Its just the back end I think he said. Stainless steel preferably? Could somebody link to the correct part please?

Thank you

Can you see if there is a manufacturers label on it anywhere? Or do you have the receipt for the exhaust?

Sounds like a Maniflow rear section would be suitable:

Are they all interchangeable? I would think that the Charles Ware or ESM exhaust would be different from the Maniflow one.

No label I’m afraid. The MM mechanic put an exhaust on from a lower CC engine I presume as it now feels a touch lethargic. He did say it was temporary though, and didn’t charge me much as I needed it back for work.

Is it not straightforward what I need? Maybe I’ll just get back in touch to clarify. Just trying to avoid sounding like a moron again, which to be honest is what I am in this department.

Is it single or twin boxes and where are the pipe joints?

Looking at the pictures they all look alike (ish). I suspect that you could go for the Maniflow one as Chipper suggested,
or https://www.morrisminorspares.com/engin ... pe-p830089 which is mild steel.
or https://www.morrisminorspares.com/engin ... pe-p830060 which is stainless.
Even if they are slightly different, the exhaust fitter should be able to make them fit.

I fitted the EMS EX126 2 piece mild steel exhaust, appears good quality.
I fitted it onto a unmarked 3 into 1, on a 1275 Midget engine.
I am satisfied with the results, for the price.

Maniflow LCBs (manifolds) usually have a little engraved plate rivetted to one of the branches.
