Hello,

I am after some help itf possiable, I am a metal detectorist and on some land I have found a Morris Vin plate.

Its a bit crumpled, but you can read the chassis number however not the top numner which gives me the type of vechile.

I have tried several sktes trying to find the type of vechile it came from ect but I cant find anything, so was hoping someome here could ID the car for me please?

Its a red plate, rectqndle in shape with 4 corners with holes,

The only bit under type you can just see the number 4 and i think the next number is 4 but its corroded

The chassis number is S2/T 86107

Engine number is 65348

Any help would be greatlt appreciated

The Morris 1000 van and pickup had a rectangular chassis plate, some were red. However the chassis number seems to dismiss it being from these vehicles. A picture if possible along with measurements might help someone else to identify it for you. What was your best detection so far?

After finding this website http://www.vin-plate.co.uk/austin_morris_plates.html, I have found the plate is a type em01

Which is on morris cars from 1948-52 so it narrows the search down a lot, still researching.......
