Morris Minor Owners Club

Just been reading an article in Car Mechanics August 1964 regarding the road testing and comparison of two used Morris Minor 1000 Travellers.

Their registrations are:-

593 THX........................for sale back then at £265

&

855 LMK.........…………….for sale back then at £220.

I was wondering if one or both of the vehicles are still around?

Neither show up on a DVLA vehicle enquiry so it is unlikely they are still about, but you never know. There are still plenty of cars that turn up after sitting in garages or barns for decades. If they were untaxed / off the road before 1978 - 79 then they probably wouldn't have been transferred to the DVLA database and the registrations are in effect "lost".

A quick search has brought up the following information. Hope it's useful.
THX was a London registration used from Oct 1958 to Jan 1959
LMK was also a London registration used from April 1957 to Sep 1957
