Has any body ever tried fitting a traveller rear bumper on a saloon ..It looks like it would fit and as i am thinking of fitting a tow bar i thought the tow bar with its electrical sockets would sit fine where the number plate would be on the travller..

Wouldn't one have trouble when opening the boot? I can't yet remeber what a traveller bumper looks like. And how about the curve?

I doubt anybody has tried. I have one of each if you would like some measurements between the mountings to see if it would in theory fit

Hi,
I fitted a rear traveller bumper to the rear of a '69 2 door once, it wasn't a problem and didn't interfere with the boot opening. Just looked a bit funny with the number plate blank in the middle and no curvature round the boot. It was some time back but I don't remember having to make any major changes to the mountings and if there was I wouldn't have bothered. But it did the trick until the right bumper came along.
Regards,
Wal

I cant see why it wouldn't fit, you might need to bend it very slightly to deal with the curvy shape at the back of the car.....
